Expectations for the future... Too much to say

In this topic, I really do not know how I can begin with this issue. My expectations are more related with improve my weaknesses, to reinforce my strong skills related with listening and reading. But also, and more important, it is related with learning. When I say learning, I mean to do not stop learning anything related with language skills of production and comprehension and teaching. What I really expect for my next year is to end my language course properly, to be on ELAB experience (I'm very excited about it), to be as good as I can, that is to say, to explote every single skill till the maximum. I honestly give thanks to my English teacher who I learned many things in terms of language, pronunciation, and so on, thanks to my classmates that helped me to improve many things I was weak and thanks for the opportunity to show you, and everybody, that I can be as good as you can imagine. Thanks for All and keep working till we die :D

Reflecting + Practice= Success

What I understood, related with reflection and practice, is we can always reflect about every single experience we have in our experience as teachers. Even, whether we are teaching in a classrom, by webcam or by videos, every single experience teaching is a moment we should reflect about it and learn something new. Also, if we constantly reflect about our own experience and we find something that needs to improve, that should lead us to success. Everything I said before lead us to success in a way we found some weaknesses and improve them in order to renew our practice.

Teacher Identity

 In this part of the course, we deal with teacher's identity. We did a video that shows a perspective of our identity as teachers and also we did an essay which represents my personal view of teaching (here it is). This unit of the course contributed me in a way to create my own personal teacher identity but also an identity as a person who is is part of a career, part of a univerisity; so I also have a colective identity as part of a big group. So, I thought identity was only related to a personal view of a specific issue but I was wrong. I realized we can have many different identities which are determined by the many different contexts we were doing our classes.

Poster Session - TPACK!

      One of the things that drove my attention during this semester, it is this poster and also, the reading we should read for that session. I learn many things related with special devices, brand new tools in my practice as teacher but I still believe TPACK is not only about electronic devices, it also includes books, black boards, texts in general and so on. However, even if I still reflect in about TPACK, I always tihnk in one big issue and it is related with how TPACK's success can be measure so every single person can see the effectiveness TPACK has in classrooms.I think I find the way to find the question I have (and I hate when I have doubts I cannot answer) but I'm sure I'll find it someday. Needless to say I'll embrace into TPACK's proposal.

Expectations of the course

From the very begining, I thought this course must be about more stuff like other semesters. Also, the teacher must be in a way focus on the topics more that habilities. Althought, the teacher was worried on the topics we had seen in class, his focus laid on our skills. The four habilities: listening, speaking, reading comprehension and writing; he was constantly dealing with them all the time and he always gave us constructived feedback of what we had done. As far as I can appreciate during the whole course, everything was were well-planned but, by different issues we had during the semester, it wasn't constant. By the fact we were on strike and we missed some classes, the topics were not cover as much as they should be, I guess. Even though, those moments we were on other bussiness, we cover the whole topics and that's good. Now, at the end of the semester, I realized my knowledge and the way to concieve education have changed a lot in a better way and these things will help me in my future practice.
